This does not void the factory warranty. There are 2 sides to the ecu. The E prom side and the tuning side. Dealers only check the E prom side, and we don't change anything in there.
FINALLY. Someone has found a solution to making the bikes make power from sea level to 13,000 ft
Introducing the snow bike mapping and all altitude mapping. Available for most bikes that can use a KTM map switch.
The 2 maps offered, are full power maps and are separated by the 7000 ft elevation mark.
So the white map is full power from sea level to 7000 ft and the green map adds ignition timing, to make up for the high altitude power loss from 7000 ft and up
Smart tuners, not tuners in general you may find on internet forums or facebook groups, but the ones that actually have brains and do this stuff for a living, know that ignition advance is better than compression.
For every 1000 ft of elevation gain, over 5000 ft, a 1/2 degree of ignition advance gets back lost power. We add 2.5 degrees of ignition timing to the green map. So whether your riding a snow bike at all kinds of elevations, or ride your dirt bike in Az in the winter and Co in the summer, you are set.
This is an industry first. Tried, tested and proven with feedback from real people. Vortex or GET ecu's won't, or can't even tell you what the different maps are. They give you little non-committal explanations of their maps. But that's just politician kind of crap. "I'll tell you what I think you want to hear", but it means "I'll do nothing in the end".
No crap here. You know what we did and why, and it WORKS. If your elevation varies like this, then this is your choice. And yes, you still have the traction control mode in each map, to dumb down the wheel spin if needed.
